Well this is my latest project, a 1941 1 ton cargo military, in the beginning  of  WWII  the  military needed trucks, so Chevrolet gave them what they had, this one was similar to the civilian models exept it had rear shocks, a factory tool box mounted pass side with running board type supports under it, also a modified front bumper assembly, probably a seperate contract from Chevy, as the lower grill is modifyed and made to accept the larger bumper brackets.. I found this old girl on a farm in Ill, she was covered from head to toe with faded red barn paint, but was in great shape. I discovered the army tags on the motor and inside the cab when I got her home, then poked around to find the OD green showing under the bed, and on the engine.. The motor was free and a bit of tinkering and she was running like a top.. I got some OD paint and before I knew it she was all green again, I forgot to get some before pic...oh well.. here it is after I put stencils back on her, I got some canvis for a rear cargo tarp and plan to put those on soon...
